It has always been my dream
and passion to work in the environmental field. I have always known from a young age I wanted to help preserve and protect the marine environment. I went to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and earned my bachelor of science degree in Marine Safety and Environmental Protection. This is a very specialized degree that allowed me to combine my love of the environment with a career in the maritime industry. In 2007, I was offered the great opportunity to work for Celebrity Cruises as an Environmental Officer. Today I get to fulfill my dreams of Saving the Waves and being an environmental steward for my company. Daily, I get to encounter guests and crew members who share the same type of passion for the environment as I do. Working with Celebrity Cruises , I am given the opportunity to teach crew members about environmental protection and marine conservation. I also have the wonderful opportunity to work with crewmembers from diverse areas of the world and immerse myself in their culture, and share my American culture with them as well.
